Amazingly beautiful hand-made shoes
As a "jeans and t-shirt" kind of guy most of my life, it has only been in the past few years that I have started dressing like what most people would consider an adult. On a trip a few years back to Florence, Italy, I fell in love with handmade leather shoes. The craftsmanship, the attention to detail, the luxuriousness of them spoke to me on a deeper level, especially compared to what I was able to get back in the states. Imagine my delight when I found a family-owned retailer in the U.S. selling handmade Italian footwear. I recently added a pair of these loafers to my collection, and I have to say, they're almost too beautiful to wear. Soft, buttery leather, married with sturdy stitchwork makes for an uncharacteristically comfortable, but solid shoe. I just came back from a week long conference where I brought a few additional pairs of shoes in case the occasion needed me to dress up or dress down. I needn't bother. I only wore these loafers no matter the occasion or outfit. They blended perfectly for every occasion. I won't make that mistake again! I would also like to offer two pieces of advice. One, buy them perhaps a half-size smaller than you think you'll need. The leather softens while wearing, so that by mid-afternoon, there was some discernible wiggle room--but, nothing an insole can't fix. And second, run, don't walk to get a pair of these BEAUTIFUL shoes. I am already scheming how to convince my wife I need another pair!
